How to properly disinfect and sterilize Staleks beauty tools

2020-10-29

All metal tools from the Staleks company are made of stainless steel of the AISI420 or AISI430 class. This is the same steel used for surgical instruments. Purchased tools should undergo a comprehensive decontamination process before use. Additionally, after each use, the tools should undergo a cleaning process. Properly conducted decontamination and periodic maintenance with medical paraffin will ensure their long and trouble-free use.

Stages of processing Staleks metal tools:

  • disinfection with alcohol-free agents,
  • high-temperature sterilization in a class B autoclave (we do not recommend disinfection with sporicidal agents).

Tool cleaning should be performed in an ultrasonic washer using demineralized water. It is recommended to combine the washing and disinfection stages by using an appropriate disinfecting and cleaning agent (e.g., Gigasept).

It is essential to strictly adhere to the concentration and exposure time of the preparation provided by the manufacturer

IMPORTANT! - Do not leave metal tools in the washer beyond the required time, as they will rust 100%.

All parts of the tools must be immersed in the solution. Do not overload the ultrasonic washer, as this may lead to dulling of cutting edges.

After the program is completed, rinse the tools and immediately dry them with a lint-free towel. If necessary, you can now lubricate the movable part of the scissors by applying a small amount of medical paraffin (e.g., Mucadont fluid).

IMPORTANT! - Leaving wet tools for self-drying will cause corrosion.

Tools should be sterilized in paper-foil bags.

Remember not to overload the autoclave; wet tools after sterilization are considered non-sterile and may corrode.

Sterilization should be performed by selecting the 134°C - wrapped program.
